I hold a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of León (Spain), the University of Perugia (Italy), and Harvey Mudd College (California, USA). In addition to Spanish, I am fluent in English and Italian.
Since 2013, I have been involved in more than 1,000 mobile robotics projects across five continents. I worked for six years at ASTI Mobile Robotics (later acquired by ABB), three of which were as Director of the Business Development Engineering Department.
I began my career as an independent consultant in 2019, supporting clients in their business growth and helping them become more efficient in their internal logistics.
I am currently an advisor on the boards of directors of several companies related to mobile robotics, as well as the President of the Spanish Mobile Robotics Association (ARME), of which I was one of the eight founders.
We are members of ARME (Spanish Mobile Robotics Association), an organization dedicated to making Spain a global benchmark in mobile robotics. Javier is the president and one of ARME’s eight founding members, while Eva serves on its board of directors.
Moving Robots was born from the vision of Javier Miguélez, a leading figure in mobile robotics and former Business Development Director at ASTI. In 2019, he identified the need to offer a vendor-agnostic and objective consultancy to support warehouse automation, optimize production planning, and improve intralogistics.
That same year, he began his journey as a vendor-agnostic expert in mobile robotics and logistics consulting, advising decision-makers across industries on how to automate with clarity and confidence.
In 2022, driven by her passion and hands-on experience with large AGV and AMR fleets and custom solutions Eva Santamartajoined the company as CEO, helping scale up the number of projects delivered.
Eva is passionate about people, customer experience, and business management. She brings strong leadership experience from international companies and holds a degree in business administration.
Javier and Eva met at ASTI, where Eva spent over 7 years designing logistics solutions with mobile robotics.
